The publication of a paper in GETL Conference Proceedings reflects the quality of the work of the authors, reviewers and editors. If any stakeholder involved in paper publication has doubts about what to do and how to proceed, below are presented guidelines to follow.

For authors
Authors should conduct their research (from research idea to publication) in line with best practices and codes characteristic for scientific work. Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts submitted for the conference are ethically prepared and submitted. This means that:

  1. all submitted papers must represent original work of authors (if another authors’ text if used, it should be properly cited)
  2. authors should avoid auto-plagiarism
  3. papers submitted for the conference and inclusion in conference proceedings should not be submitted or published in any other journal / conference proceedings in any language
  4. people listed as authors should be only those which contribution is substantial for the paper
  5. in reporting research results, authors should be ethical
  6. a paper should contain enough details and references to permit others to replicate the research
  7. if an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his / her own published paper, it is the author’s obligation to promptly notify conference proceedings editor and to work with the editor to retract or correct the paper
  8. proper acknowledgment of any who financially helped in preparation of any part of a paper (from research to editing) should be written

For reviewers
Reviewers assist conference proceedings editor in making decisions about papers’ acceptance / rejection and through the editorial communications with the author may also assist the author in improving the paper. Therefore, reviewers must follow the below mentioned guidelines:

  1. if reviewer become aware of author’s identity, he / she should immediately report that to conference proceedings editor
  2. reviewers should maintain their objectivity during the review process and not discuss reviewed paper with anyone (any manuscripts received for the review must be treated as confidential documents)
  3. reviewers should review only those papers for which they feel competent
  4. reviewers should express their views clearly with supporting arguments
  5. if a reviewer suggests that an author includes citations to the reviewer’s (or his / her coauthors’) work, that must be for scientific reasons and not with the intention of increasing the reviewer’s citation and paper visibility

For editors
The conference proceedings editor is solely and independently responsible for making decision which of the papers submitted to the conference should be published. To accomplish that, one should always keep in mind the following:

  1. editor must protect authors’ and reviewers’ identities
  2. editor must ensure that the peer review process is fair, unbiased and timely (editor should select reviewers who have suitable expertise in the relevant field, taking account of the need for appropriate, inclusive and diverse representation, and at the same time avoiding any conflict of interest)
  3. editor should exclude him/her-self from considering submission in which they have conflict of interest
  4. all submitted papers should be evaluated for their scientific content without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion etc. of the authors.
  5. editor should remain objective throughout whole process and provide platform that is ethical and equal to anyone
  6. editor must protect the confidentiality of all material submitted to the conference and all communications with reviewers and authors
  7. editor must not be included in decisions about papers which he/she has written him/herself or have been written by family members or colleagues

Review process
All papers submitted for Global Education, Teaching & Learning Conference are going through double blind review process. Reviewers are from academic circles (usually university professors or scientists working in research institutes). If both reviews are positive then the paper is accepted for presentation at the conference and publication in the proceedings. If both reviews are negative then the paper is rejected. If one review is positive and the other one is negative, then we will send the paper to the third reviewer for a final decision.

Doing Business in Post Pandemic World

When Covid-19 appeared, no one expected it to grow into a pandemic which will change business fundamentally. In less than a year, some industries have come to the brink of collapse, while others have experienced growth. Any crisis can be defined as a shift of life and business paradigm in such a way that one or more assumptions are changed. In this way, a specific context for business decisions is made, which is based on a significantly changed logic from the one to which the existing system is accustomed. Global Business Conference 2021 focuses on proposing solutions for doing business in the post-pandemic world by understanding and (re)defining the logic of the economy and society in general and changing a business in a way that creates the greatest value in the new business logic. We invite contributions that can propose new business paradigms for multiple perspectives and multiple contexts – for doing business in ‘new normal’.

Conference welcomes both theoretical and empirical contributions that discuss important issues in their field and how these issues relate to business challenges in global economy. We look toward opening up discussion of new ideas that are likely to shape future business and academic landscapes.

The purpose of the conference is to provide a research platform for academic researchers, doctoral students and practitioners on developing key business insights which help explain and/or prescribe business actions in order to drive value creation. This conference provides an opportunity for an interdisciplinary take on this issue from marketing, finance, accounting, management, economics, tourism and other viewpoints. Through its interdisciplinarity this conference aims at providing a platform for constructive dialogue on these important issues.

We welcome diverse contributions: conceptual and empirical; abstracts and full papers; research in early stages and fully completed papers. All submissions will be arranged in the five tracks (Economics, Finance and Accounting, Management, Marketing, Tourism). List is just indicative but not exhaustive – so we welcome also ideas that are not covered by our suggestions.
